Backtesting is the single highest-leverage habit a trader can build — and the one most skip, because traditional tools demand Python or clunky platforms. We are building backtesting into DocStockAI to remove that wall. Status: the backtest engine is coming online — DocStockAI tells you plainly when it can't run a test and never makes up results.
How it works
You type something like: "Go long NQ on a 20-EMA pullback in an uptrend, 1.5x ATR stop, 2.5R target." DocStockAI is designed to run it against 8 years of ES & NQ 15-minute data and return:
- Profit factor, win rate, Sharpe, expectancy
- Max drawdown and prop-account viability
- A plain-English reliability verdict (strong / thin / negative edge)
- Whether it is forward-test qualified
Why it is honest
The engine is deterministic and runs on real archived data — no hallucinated numbers. If a setup loses money over 8 years, it tells you "do not trade," because that is what the data says. It even flags small-sample / overfit risk.
Free to start
Backtests run inside DocStockAI with a small allowance per 5-hour window (more with WFF All-Access) once the engine is connected.
